Sony Strives For New Methods to Annoy (Oops... We Mean Monetize) You

A user on Neogaf spotted this patent (brought to our attention by Eurogamer) that threatens to interrupt your gaming with advertisements. The patent is a general description of a process that would slow your play, alerting you to the imminent advertisement. You would then be forced to view advertising content chosen from a server, and be warned before being plunged back into play. Ick. Let's hope this is purely speculative. Sony may, but that would push us at FI over the edge and make us take up a hobby, like crocheting.
