6.3 Million People Playing Diablo III After the First Week

Blizzard Entertainment, part of Activision Blizzard is proud, and gloating that Diablo III sold around 3.5 million copies within 24 hours of release. Another 1.2 million people also purchased World of Warcraft subscriptions that grant access to Diablo III (helping to prop up the falling World of Warcraft subscriptions. After a week of availability, Blizzard claims that 6.3 million people are now playing Diablo III. That's a lot.
