Take-Two InteractiveTake-Two Interactive reported its financial results for its fiscal third quarter ended December 31, 2011. The company did fine, but not spectacularly, owing to quiet quarter headlined by a basketball game. Read on for more details...
For its fiscal third quarter ended December 31, 2011, Take-Two Interactive reported net income of $14.104 million compared to net income of $40.859 million in the same quarter the previous year. The company suggested the higher revenues in the previous comparable quarter resulted from sales of Red Dead Redemption and the releases of Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare and Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete. In this latest quarter, the company's strongest contributor to revenue was NBA 2K12, and that didn't perform in the same way. Take-Two Interactive performed adequately, and fell back on the old line: "We delivered results that were solidly within our expectations," according to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Strauss Zelnick.
