Sony actually wants you to pay for games. Surprised? Well, no... not really. Until recently, when you purchased a game on the PlayStation Network, you could download it to as many as five different machines. As of November 18, 2001,
you will be limited to two different systems. For any content purchased after that date, it will only be possible to activate it on two PlayStation 3 consoles (or PSP units for PSP games). Sony says that it plans to offer users the ability to deactivate devices, so presumably those of us who are legitimately moving from console to console will not be penalized, but those who have been sharing purchases will no longer be able to do so.
