Sony Adds Plenty of Additional Games to the PlayStation Store

SonyWith the arrival of another Tuesday, Sony has released a new slate of downloadable games for the PlayStation 3 and PSP. This week's releases include a lot of games previously released on the PlayStation 2 and a more recent PC first-person shooter. Read on for the full list and more details...
Chrono Trigger, released on the original PlayStation, can now be downloaded for $10.


Crysis, originally released for the PC in 2007, can now be downloaded directly to the PlayStation 3 for $20. The game features both a single-player campaign in which players use a "Nanosuit" to investigate an alien artifact as well as several multiplayer modes.

Eufloria can be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $10. Previously released on the PC, the game has players exploring space and building robotic plants and trees to defend colonies against an alien menace.

FIFA Soccer 12, released to stores last week, can now be downloaded directly to the PSP for $40. This latest game in EA's soccer franchise offers changes to the AI and dribbling engine.

God Hand, originally released on the PlayStation 2 can now be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $10.

GRIMgRiMoiRe, originally released on the PlayStation 2, can now be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $10. The game has Lillet Blan awakening to discover everyone in her magic school to be dead, and then setting off on a quest to discover and defeat the cause of this mysterious occurence.

Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, originally released on the PlayStation 2 has players aiding the knight Maximo has he works with the Grim Reaper to save his girlfriend. The game can be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $10.

NBA Jam: On Fire Edition can be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $15 and features the arcade-style, over-the-top basketball play of NBA Jam with larger rosters, more secret teams and new online modes.

Odin Sphere, an action-oriented role-playing game originally released on the PlayStation 2, can now be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $10.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition can be downloaded directly to the PlayStation 3 for $30. Released last year as a physical box, the Gold Edition includes the original Resident Evil 5, in which players work to halt a bioterrorism threat that transforms people into zombies, plus extra downloadable content and costume packs.

Ring of Red is a turn-based strategy game originally released on the PlayStation 2 that can now be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $10.

Sega Bass Fishing can be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $10. Originally released on the Dreamcast, this fishing game has been updated to support the PlayStation Move controller.

Shift 2 Unleashed can be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $40. Released in March to stores, This racing game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC uses the same "Autolog" technology from Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit to connect gamers, but has players racing in a more simulation-like environment.

Space Channel 5: Part 2, originally released for the Dreamcast, has Ulala keeping the rhythm to stop the Rhythm Rogues from creating an all-powerful dance-control weapon. The game can be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $10.
