Ubisoft Reports Lower First-Quarter Sales

UbisoftUbisoft announced selected financial results for its fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2011. Read on for more details...
For the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2011, Ubisoft reported sales of €103 million (around $146 million), compared with sales of €161 million in the same quarter the previous year. Ubisoft reported strong catalog sales as well as an increase in online sales through venues such as Xbox Live Arcade. Of course, this emphasis suggests that games such as Child of Eden did not perform as strongly as the company hoped. Ubisoft did not report more detailed financial information.
