For the year ended March 31, 2011, Sega Sammy reported net income of ¥41.510 billion (around $513 million), compared to net income of ¥20.269 billion in the previous year.

Sega Sammy attributed its results partially due to recovery in gambling industry (the company has a significant pachinko and pachislot business) despite the Japanese earthquake. Sega Sammy also noted that some video game titles were delayed due to the earthquake, and that the company sold fewer games than in the previous year. The company's toy business, however, did well.

Sega Sammy reported selling 2.18 million copies of Sonic Colors and 1.54 million copies of Iron Man 2.
