Perfect World Agrees to Acquire Cryptic for $50 Million in Cash

Cryptic StudiosEarlier this month, Atari announced that it planned to sell Cryptic Studios, the folks behind Champions Online and Star Trek Online. Now, Perfect World (a Chinese publisher and developer) announced that it will acquire 100% of the equity of Cryptic Studios in return for a cash payment of €35.0 million (around $50 million). That payment is subject to certain working capital and other adjustments when the transaction closes.
