EA Gives Relational a Board Member to Buy Their Cooperation

Electronic ArtsThe Relational Group, an investment group that holds over six million shares of Electronic Arts stock, has come to an agreement with EA that will make the upcoming board elections go more smoothly. Relational Group was pushing to elect three of its own candidates at the 2011 annual stockholder meeting. To get Relational to quit making trouble, EA has agreed to appoint Ralph Whitworth to the EA Board of Directors and the Executive Compensation and Leadership Committee of the Board. In return, the Relational Group has agreed to vote for the EA Board's recommendations on proposals and nominees.
