Majesco Reports Losses, Looks to Zumba Fitness For Future Profits

For the fiscal year ended October 31, 2010, Majesco reported a net loss of $972,000 compared to a net loss of $7.189 million in the previous financial year.


For Majesco's fourth quarter, Majesco reported a net loss of $1.529 million compared to a net loss of $4.455 in the same quarter the previous year.

Majesco noted that the company has reduced its net loss "by reducing costs and focusing on our mass market game franchises..." In particular, the company is looking forward to a better 2011 thanks to the Mama franchise (including Cooking Mama, Crafting Mama and Babysitting Mama) and the recent release of Zumba Fitness. Zumba Fitness, in particular, has already sold over 500,000 units, giving the company hope for the future.
