More Downloadable Games Reach the PlayStation Store

Sony has released new downloadable games for the PlayStation 3 and PSP through the PlayStation Store. This week's releases include downloadable releases of several previously shipped titles, as well as an alien survival-themed shooter, a soccer management simulation and a camera-powered fighting game. Alien Breed 2: Assault from Team 17 is now available as a download for the PlayStation 3. This arcade-style shooter has players battling swarms of aliens alone, or with the help of a friend. This game of survival on a critically damaged space vessel was released on the Xbox 360 in September.


Football Manager Handheld 2011 from Sports Interactive can be downloaded directly to the PSP for $30, allowing PSP owners to manage their own soccer team.

Kung-Fu Live can be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $15. This fighting game uses the PlayStation Eye camera to scan you, transforming a real human being into a "super-powered kung-fu hero."

The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest, released to stores in September, can now be downloaded to the PSP for $30. The game is based on the recent film trilogy and has players battling through Aragorn's most exciting clashes with Sauron's forces.

Michael Jackson: The Experience, released to stores last month, can now be downloaded directly to the PSP for $30. The game has players performing routines to Michael Jackson's iconic songs.

Military History Commander: Europe at War can be downloaded to the PSP for $10. The game puts player in charge of either the Axis or Allied forces in the European theater of World War II.

NeoGeo Heroes Ultimate Shooting can be downloaded to the PSP for $20. The game has ten characters from the NeoGeo system in a top-down arcade-style shooter.

Qlione Evolve from Sony Online Entertainment and Rockin' Android can be downloaded to the PlayStation 3 for $7. This is something of a compilation including the original Qlione and Qlione 2, allowing players to take control of a microbe striving to evolve and reach the pinnacle of the food chain.

Tron Evolution (that physically shipped to stores today) can be downloaded directly to the PSP for $30. The game is set prior to the events of the film and features combat as well as light cycle racing.

Also available this week are several new PSP Minis, including Boom Beats ($4), Blimp: The Flying Adventures ($5), Arcade Essentials ($5), Flying Hamster ($6) and Aquattack ($3).
