Ubisoft Reports Larger First-Half Loss

| | Comments (0)
UbisoftUbisoft announced selected financial results for the first half of its 2010-2011 fiscal year. Read on for more details...
For the six-month period ended September 30, 2010, Ubisoft announced a net loss of €89.8 million (around $123 million) compared to a net loss of €52.0 million in the same period the previous year. A large chunk of the loss was a €62.1 million charge for reorganization of the company's studios' roles and operations.

Ubisoft continues to hide behind claims that this is a "tough business environment," although the company singled out Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 and R.U.S.E. as underperforming. Is it possible that too many periods in a title hurt sales?
