For its second fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2010, Namco Bandai Games reported a net loss of ¥1.930 billion (around $24 million), compared to a net loss of ¥6.038 billion in the same quarter the previous year.

The company's biggest selling video game continues to be Tekken 6, with its top recent title being Despicable Me (390,000 copies) followed by Dead to Rights: Retribution (350,000 copies).

Namco Bandai also announced that it plans to repurchase up to 5 million shares of common stock, and plans to use up to ¥4.5 billion to do so. The company gave its reason as "Promoting expeditious capital strategies in accordance with the business environment." That's a nice way of saying the company thinks its stock is undervalued.
