Blizzard, part of Activision Blizzard, is gloating that its massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft now has more than 12 million subscribers worldwide. Despite the gloat, Blizzard did not clarify exactly how it arrived at this count. While most Westerners subscribe to the game personally, many Asian users access the game through PC cafes where the economics of subscriptions are different. Still, that's a lot of people playing WoW.
