PlayStation 3 and Wii Add Disc-less Netflix Streaming

| | Comments (0)
NetflixToday, Netflix has launched versions of its streaming video application for both the PlayStation 3 and Wii that do not require a disc to operate. That puts PlayStation 3 and Wii owners in the same boat as Xbox 360 owners, in that none need to use a disc to stream movies using their Netflix subscription. The update adds 5.1 channel surround sound capability to the PlayStation 3, putting PlayStation 3 owners slightly ahead of their Xbox 360-owning compatriots, at least until Microsoft's fall update brings the Xbox 360 Netflix streaming application up to par.
