Available for 800 points ($10), the "Classic Collection" for Pinball FX 2 includes four tables released for the original Pinball FX: Speed Machine, Extreme, Agents and Buccaneer. All have been updated, and owners of the original game can import their existing tables into Pinball FX 2.

The Pinball FX 2 Classic Collection works out to $2.50 per table for four great tables. If these pinball tables have a flaw, it's simply that they pale in comparison to the staggeringly detailed tables designed from the ground up for Pinball FX 2. These are still great tables, collectively worth the investment. Here are a few more details on the individual tables:

Speed Machine is a street-racing-themed table in which you tune your car, and the police are always right on your tail. This table is as fast as its name, and accurate use of the upper table is critical to racking up high scores. It took me a few games to get the hang of Speed Machine, but once I did, I was hooked. I particularly loved the tiny radar gun that clocks your ball as it rushes toward the top of the table.

Extreme is an extreme-sports themed table. So much so, I feel like I'm sinning by not leaving the "e" off [e]Xtreme. Much of the table is skateboard-themed, although the table has its share of graffiti, basketball and even bungee jumping. While still a strong table, this was my least favorite of the Classic Collection thanks to the many portals on the lower table. Get in a groove and this table rings with the sound of "sick tricks," but it's also possible to repeatedly hit the pillars between the portals and rack up absolutely no score.

Agents is a secret-agent themed table, and easily my favorite of the Classic Collection. Despite being the widest-open of the Classic tables, tons of intricate ramps, targets and interesting missions meant that no matter where I hit the ball, something cool happened. Agents was also the most intuitive table for me: the moment I started playing, it was clear exactly what I needed to do. This table also has the coolest bumpers of any of the Classic Collection tables – shaped like handguns.

Buccaneer is the piratically-themed table from the Classic Collection. This is another strong table, complete with fanged skulls and a treasure chest that accumulates loot as you play. This is a great all-around table that keeps the action rolling. I was particularly fond of the cannon that replaces the traditional plunger for launching the ball.
