Sparkplay to Fold, Earth Eternal Likely to Close

| | Comments (0)
In a letter posted yesterday, Matt Mihaly (CEO "not for much longer" of Sparkplay Media reported that the free-to-play massively multiplayer online game Earth Eternal is probably on its last legs. According to his letter, "Sparkplay has hit hard times and is not going to survive. I've had to lay off all of our staff except for two people... The simple fact is that we've run out of money." While the fate of Earth Eternal is uncertain, unless the game finds a financial savior, it will be shut down soon. Until then, Sparkplay has made all the non-permanent items in the cash shop free.
