Quake Live Launch is Official

id Software, part of ZeniMax Media (parent of Bethesda Softworks) has officially launched Quake Live, a free, browser-based, competitive, first-person shooter. While Quake Live has been playable for quite some time, but is now officially live and offering two premium subscription levels. Players can still play for free, but for $2 per month, players get 20 extra maps and an extra game mode. For $4 per month, players get that, plus the ability to start servers and clans.
