Gameloft Doubles First-Half Profitability

| | Comments (0)
Mobile and casual publisher Gameloft announced selected financial results for the first half of its 2010 fiscal year:
For the six-month period ended June 30, 2010, Gameloft announced a net profit of €5.3 million (around $6.7 million) compared to net profit of €2.2 million in the same period the previous year. That profit was earned on revenues of €66.6 million compared to revenues of €60.1 million in the same period the prior year.

Gameloft credited both increased sales and efficient cost controls for its nearly doubled profits. Gameloft is extremely optimistic about its position in both mobile games and for its ability to diversify further into other formats such as downloadable console games.
