Majesco Reports $1.6 Million Quarterly Loss

MajescoMajesco reported its financial results for its fiscal second quarter ended April 30, 2010:
For the quarter, Majesco reported a net loss of $1.607 million compared to a net loss of $1.696 million in the same quarter the previous year. Commenting on the loss, Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer of Majesco noted "Our costs are under control and we continue to adjust our business model to meet industry challenges."

With Majesco's focus on casual games, nearly all of the company's sales come from Wii and DS games. In the latest quarter, 73.4% of sales came from DS games, while 24.6 % of sales came from Wii games. The remaining 2% were catalog sales of older games.
