Ubisoft Reports Large Annual Loss

UbisoftUbisoft announced selected financial results for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2010:
For the year, Ubisoft reported a net loss of €43.7 million (around $54 million), compared to net income of €68.8 million in the previous year. Ubisoft blamed the global economic crisis for its 18% fall in sales and noted that it released fewer games for the higher-margin consoles (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3). For the year, Wii game sales provided 26% of sales, with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sales providing 23% and 22% of sales, respectively.
