Electronic Arts Reports Another Large Annual Loss

| | Comments (0)
Electronic ArtsElectronic Arts reported its financial results for its fiscal year and fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, 2010:
For the quarter, EA reported net income of $30 million, compared to a net loss of $42 million in the same quarter the previous year. For the year, EA reported a net loss of $677 million compared to a net loss of $1.088 billion in the prior year.

For the company's improved fourth quarter, John Riccitiello (EA's Chief Executive Officer) credited Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which outperformed expectations. Not surprisingly, the company preferred to focus on the improved fourth quarter rather than the somewhat smaller annual loss.
