Boy Scouts of America Add Video Game Awards

| | Comments (0)
The Boy Scouts of America have added two video game awards, a belt loop and a pin, related to video games:
The two awards, designed for Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts, are a Belt Loop and an Academics Pin. The Belt Loop requires participants to understand the rating system, achieve life/game balance and learn a new game. The Academics Pin has participants purchasing an appropriate video game, playing with family and friends, relating that game to life skills and even comparison shopping, among other skills.

The awards appear to take a positive approach to educating children concerning video games and learning to integrate video games into a balanced life.
