Majesco Reports Decent Holiday Quarter

MajescoMajesco reported the results of its first fiscal quarter ended January 31, 2010:
For the quarter, Majesco reported net income of $3.807 million, compared to net income of $4.162 million in the same quarter the previous year. Majesco was generally pleased with the quarter's performance, noting that sales were driven by Cooking Mama games and Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.

For the quarter 69.4% of sales came from the sale of DS games, while 27.3% of sales came from the sale of Wii games, with back catalog games for other platforms making up the balance.
