MumboJumbo Successfully Sues PopCap
Casual Game publisher MumboJumbo has been awarded $4.6 million in damages from PopCap Games for an alleged breach of contract by PopCap:
In 2006, MumboJumbo and PopCap signed an agreement that would allow MumboJumbo to distribute and sell certain PopCap games. With the Lawsuit, MumboJumbo alleged that PopCap breached the contract when it "decided to market and sell its games on its own." The court awarded $4.6 million in damages (plus attorneys' fees) to MumboJumbo. It remains to be seen whether this is a final victory for MumboJumbo or whether there will be an appeal.
