THQ Settles Dispute With the WWE and JAKKS Pacific

| | Comments (0)
All litigation related to the case has been ended and all claims are withdrawn. As part of this resolution, THQ is paying JAKKS Pacific an additional $20 million over the next four years and terminating its joint venture with JAKKS Pacific. Also, while THQ will pay the WWE an additional $13.2 million, THQ's licensing agreement with the WWE has been extended.

The previous licensing agreement between THQ and WWE has been revised such that there is a new eight-year agreement that extends THQ's license by an additional three years past the previous agreement. This licensing agreement continues to grant THQ "the exclusive worldwide rights to publish interactive games based on WWE properties across all major gaming platforms and distribution channels."
