Ubisoft Reports Substantial Sales Drop

UbisoftUbisoft reported selected financial data for the first half of its fiscal year, a six-month period ended September 30, 2009:
Sales for Ubisoft's first-half of its 2009-2010 fiscal year were €166 million (around $247 million), down substantially from €344 million in the same period the previous year. The company is coming up on the holiday season, its best sales season of the year, but didn't focus on why sales are down so much.


The company did confirm that 47% of sales during the period came from Europe, and 41% came from North America. By platform, 23% of sales came from DS games, 22% came from Wii games and 17% came from PC games with other platforms making up the remainder of sales.
