THQ Reports Much Smaller Quarterly Loss

| | Comments (0)
THQTHQ reported its financial results for its second fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2009:
For the quarter, THQ reported a net loss of $5.570 million, compared to a net loss of $115.260 million in the same quarter the previous year. This puts THQ in the fortunate position of not having to focus excessively on this latest quarter's loss. Instead, THQ simply noted that it is a "more focused, more efficient company," because it is losing so much less money than it did last year.

For the quarter, revenues from the sale of Xbox 360 games constituted 21.4% of revenues. DS game sales provided 19.6% of revenues and PlayStation 3 game sales provided 17.3% of revenues. Other platforms made up the balance of revenues.
