Nintendo Releases More Downloadable Games for the Wii and DSi
Another Monday has arrived, so Nintendo has released another slate of downloadable games for the Wii and DSi through the Wii Shop Channel and DSi Shop:
A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia, originally released for the NES, has been re-released by Majesco Entertainment as a Wii download for 500 points ($5).
Castle of Magic from Gameloft can be downloaded to the DSi for 500 points ($5). This platformer lets players enjoy variable gravity and lets DSi owners take pictures of real-world objects to transform into different in-game creatures.
Harvest Moon: My Little Shop from Natsume can be downloaded to the Wii for 1,200 points ($12). Set in Clover Town, this Harvest Moon game from Natsume has players taking over their grandparents' farm and shop. Only by turning around the farm and keeping store customers happy can players set Clover Town right.
Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 1, from Lexis Numerique, can be downloaded to the Wii for 500 points ($5). The software is designed to help teach pre-reading children ages three to six basic concepts like numbers, letters and shapes.
Little Tournament Over Yonder, from Gevo Entertainment, can be downloaded to the Wii for 800 points ($8). Wii owners take on the role of a Prince or Princess and lead teams of units through a series of real-time battles.
Super Mario Kart, originally released for the SNES, can now be downloaded to he Wii for 800 points ($8). This is the original Mario-themed kart racing game in which Mario and seven of his friends compete to win racing cups.
myNotebook: Blue, from Nnooo, can be downloaded to the DSi for 200 points. This software allows DSi owners to take notes on a variety of papers styles.
Also available for download today are five different Electroplankton titles, each of which can be downloaded to the DSi for 200 points apiece ($2). Electroplankton Lumiloop contains ring-shaped creatures that make noise as they spin; Electroplankton Luminarrow make noises depending on which direction they point; Electroplankton Marine-Crystals are delicate crystals that float on the surface of the water while growing and making noise; Electroplankton Sun-Animalculehas plankton that grow from eggs and emit light and sound as they grow; and Electroplankton Varvoice memorize the sound of human speech and repeat it over and over.
