Electronic Arts Acquires Playfish

Electronic ArtsElectronic Arts has acquired Playfish, a provider of casual and social games for online and mobile platforms. EA paid around $275 million in cash and $25 million in "equity retention arrangements," along with up to $100 million more if Playfish meets certain performance milestones.
