nVidia Reports Quarterly Loss, Sees Recovery On the Way

| | Comments (0)
nVidia reported the financial results for its second fiscal quarter ended July 26, 2009:
For the quarter, nVidia reported a net loss of $105.3 million compared to a net loss of $120.9 million in the same quarter the previous year.

The company argued that its graphics processor business is recovering and that demand for its product is improving, although its second quarter results were impacted by a $119.1 million charge related to bad materials in certain versions of its previous-generation chips. nVidia also claimed that its upcoming chips are well positioned for future mobile and embedded devices that will take advantage of cloud computing.
