Ubisoft Reveals First Quarter Sales Were Half of Those the Previous Year

| | Comments (0)
UbisoftUbisoft reported some of its financial information for its first fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2009:
For the quarter, Ubisoft reported sales of €83 million (around $118 million) compared with €169 million in the same period the prior year. Ubisoft attributes the lower sales to a slowdown in DS sales, poor market conditions and lower-than-expected back catalog sales of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 games.

Ubisoft reported that during the quarter, 48% of its sales came from Europe and 35% came from North America. 26% of sales came from the sale of DS games, 20% came from the sale of each of Wii and PC games with other platforms making up the balance of sales.
