Ubisoft Plans to Open Toronto Studio
With support from the government of the Canadian province of Ontario, Ubisoft is opening a new studio in Toronto, Ontario.
The Ontario government will invest CA$263 million (CA$ means Canadian Dollars) over the next ten years to support this effort that Ubisoft promises will result in more than a CA$500 million investment and the creation of 800 new jobs in the province.
The studio will be overseen by Yannis Mallat, Chief Executive Officer at Ubisoft Montreal and will take advantage of the film production industry's expertise in Toronto.
