Garriott Sues NCsoft for $27 Million Over Involuntary Departure

| | Comments (0)
Richard Garriott the man behind games such as Tabula Rasa, has filed suit against NCsoft, contending that NCsoft "breached its stock option agreement with Mr. Garriott and/or sought to defraud Mr. Garriott of the value of those options."
Garriott's suit contends that although NCsoft claimed Garriott was departing voluntarily, NCsoft insisted that Garriott depart and re-characterized his termination as a voluntary departure, resulting in the termination of options "worth tens of millions of dollars."

Furthermore, Garriott contends that NCsoft fired him while he was still in quarantine after returning from his trip to Earth Orbit.

Garriott's legal team values his losses at the hands of NCsoft as "more than $27,000,000."
