Ubisoft Reports Recent Sales Totals
Ubisoft reported select financial results for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2009:
Ubisoft's sales for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 were €206 million, compared to €217 million in the same quarter the previous year. For the full year, Ubisoft reported sales of €1.058 billion compared to €928 million in the previous year. Ubisoft still expects that its operating income before stock-based compensation will be around 12% of its sales for the year.
Ubisoft primarily credited Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip, My Fitness Coach, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X., the Petz franchise and the Imagine franchise for the company's sales in the fourth quarter. For the quarter, 46% of sales came from Europe and 47% came from North America. By platform, Wii games accounted for 29% of sales during the quarter, DS games provided 23% of sales, Xbox 360 games and PlayStation 3 games constituted 15% of sales each, PC games provided 13% of sales with other platforms making up the remainder.
