Sony Reveals New PSP Bundles and Games

PSPSony made a number of announcements concerning its PSP platform, including new bundles and game franchises that will be coming to the PSP:
Sony plans on launching two PSP bundles, one based on Hanna Montana and the other centering on Assassin's Creed. The Hanna Montana will include a lilac-colored PSP, Disney's Hanna Montana game, a 2GB memory stick, a UMD with episodes of the Hanna Montana show and various Hanna Montana stickers. The Assassin's Creed bundle will include the PSP game, a black PSP and a variety of unannounced extras. Both should cost $200.

Sony also confirmed that a variety of franchises will be expanding onto the PSP. The Motorstorm and Little Big Planet franchises will expand onto the PSP, and the PSP will get Dissidia Final Fantasy (already released in Japan). Ubisoft will bring its line of Petz games to the PSP and Rock Band: Unplugged will join the portable Sony platform.

In particular, Sony hopes that the Hanna Montana bundle and Petz games will help expand the PSP's audience among young, female gamers.
