U.K. Video Game Hardware and Software Sales Reach $6 Billion

ELSPA (the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association – a U.K. industry tradegroup) declared that the total sales of videogame hardware and software in the U.K. in 2008 came to £4.034 billion (around $6 billion). This represents a 23% increase from 2007.
Of that total, £1.422 billion was in console hardware sales with £0.549 billion going to gaming peripheral sales.
