Koei and Tecmo Merger is Officially On for April 1

| | Comments (0)
Shareholders of Tecmo and Koei approved the previously planned merger of the two companies. In an announcement to the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the two video game publishers confirmed that they will both be purchased by a holding company on April 1. Koei stockholders will receive one share of the new stock for each share of Koei stock they own, while Tecmo shareholders will receive 0.9 shares for each share of Tecmo stock. Many companies will hold off on scheduling major events for April 1, but Koei and Tecmo are too brave to be cowed by April Fool's Day.
