WizKids Shut Down By Corporate Parent

WizKids, a subsidiary of Topps, "will immediately cease operations and discontinue its product lines." WizKids specialized in collectible tabletop games such as HeroClix and Pirates!. The company says "Topps will immediately pursue strategic alternatives so that viable brands and properties, including HeroClix, can continue without noticeable disruption." Presumably, that means Topps is hoping to sell WizKids' games.
