| | Comments (0)
Activision BlizzardActivision Blizzard announced its financial results for its fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2008.
For the quarter, Activision Blizzard reported a net loss of $108 million, compared to net income of $48 million in the same quarter the previous year (that's a Vivendi number from before the reverse acquisition, and so not easily comparable). The loss includes costs related to ending "non-core operations" (in other words, the parts of Vivendi Games that weren't deemed worth keeping or continuing). Interestingly, 60% of Activision Blizzard's income for the quarter came from "MMOG revenues," which can be translated as: "more than half of Activision Blizzard's revenues come from World of Warcraft.
