Eden Games, an internal studio for Infogrames' Atari label, promises that they've fixed everything that was wrong with Alone in the Dark as originally released for the upcoming PlayStation 3 version. To emphasize that, they've changed the name to Alone in the Dark: Inferno.
The game keeps the same story line and much of the same action, but features:

  • Better camera and character control
  • Easier-to-access inventory system
  • More on-screen tips
  • Better driving physics
  • Improved Spectral Vision (a special power within the game), and
  • A new action sequence in Episode 6 of the game
