Rock Band Owners Can Now Pay $5 to Transfer Songs From the Original Game to Rock Band 2

| | Comments (0)
When Harmonix (part of MTV Networks) announced Rock Band 2 in conjunction with Electronic Arts, fans excitedly greeted the news that tracks from the original Rock Band would be playable in Rock Band 2. Soon after, rumors circulated that fans would have to pay an additional fee to play Rock Band songs in Rock Band 2. A download is now available that makes this transfer possible – for a fee.
In an update released today, the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band will receive an "export disc" tab in the extras option menu. For 400 Microsoft Points ($5), Xbox 360 Rock Band owners will be able to export 55 songs from the original game to Rock Band 2 (scheduled to be released shortly for the Xbox 360).
