Old European PlayStation 2 Consoles to Become Furniture

| | Comments (0)
A company in the United Kingdom, called Pli Design, is launching a line of chairs made entirely from recycled game consoles. Pli is working with Sony Computer Entertainment to recycle plastics from PlayStation 2 consoles that are collected under the EC Waste, Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE). Essentially, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is forced to take responsibility for recycling its old console at the end of their life (by WEEE), so SCEE is working with Pli to make plastic chairs that can be sold to individuals and institutions.
