PSPSony is planning to launch a new version of the PSP handheld console in North America on October 14, and in the rest of the world sometime that same month. The company also announced a new PSP bundle.
The new PSP-3000 will be included in the Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters PSP Bundle. Alone, the unit will cost $170 and promises a wider range of color response, a higher contrast ratio, better screen response time and a better glare shield on the screen. The PSP-3000 will come in black, silver and white. The new PSP is also designed to work with Skype using the built in microphone. As with the PSP-2000, the new PSP will come with video output cables to connect directly to the TV.

Sony also revealed a new bundle that will ship in November for $200. The bundle will feature a 4 GB Memory Stick (and is thus called the "4 GB Memory Entertainment Pack") and will include a black PSP-3000, a 4GB Memory Stick and a voucher to download Everyday Shooter for the PSP.
