PopCap Says "I Told You So!"

| | Comments (0)
PopCapClearly, PopCap feels it's entitled to a little gloating. The company declared that across all platforms, it's Bejeweled series of games (including Bejeweled and Bejeweled 2) have sold more than 25 million copies. But that's not the crux of the gloating:
Jason Kapalka, co-founder of PopCap, said, "Considering we tried to sell Bejeweled outright to more than one industry giant back in the early days of our company, and got no takers even after reducing our asking price to $60,000, this little game has done all right for itself." Now, PopCap is rolling in money, and knock-off match-three puzzle games are everywhere.
