Mad Catz Reports Small First Quarter Loss

| | Comments (0)
Mad CatzPeripheral Manufacturer Mad Catz reported its financial results for its first fiscal quarter, ended June 30, 2008.
For the quarter, Mad Catz reported a net loss of $777,000, compared to a net loss of $181,000 in the same quarter the previous year. This was the first quarter for Mad Catz in which sales of peripherals for the current generation of consoles exceeded peripheral sales from the last generation of consoles. Also, thanks to the acquisition of Saitek, PC peripheral sales were also significant. Mad Catz believes that its profitability will increase as it integrates the core Mad Catz and Saitek businesses, increasing efficiency rather than running the same business twice, in parallel.
