AtariAtari, a subsidiary of Infogrames, reported its financial results for its fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2008.
For the quarter, Atari reported net income of $3.455 million, compared to a net loss of $11.941 million in the same quarter the previous year.

Recently, Atari has been busy working to reunite with its corporate parent, Infogrames, as well as hiring staff who can help put the company's operations back on a profitable footing. As the company reports, "Since 2005, due to cash constraints, we have substantially reduced our involvement in development of video games and have sold a number of intellectual properties and development facilities in order to obtain cash to fund our operations."

For the latest quarter, 42.4% of sales came from Xbox 360 games, followed by 20% from PlayStation 3 sales and 13.1 from PC sales, with other platforms making up the balance.
