Cryptic Admits to Developing Star Trek Online

| | Comments (0)
It's been a barely concealed secret for a long time, but the news is finally official: Cryptic Studios (the developer originally behind City of Heroes) has the global rights to develop a massively multiplayer online game based on Star Trek, to be called (gasp!) Star Trek Online.
Not only has this been well known, but Cryptic has been flaunting the property, with moments like Jack Emmert wearing a "Starfleet Academy" sweatshirt to a panel at GDC early this year.

Details are still forthcoming but the official site has been launched.
