Activision Reports Strong First Quarter Revenues
The recently merged (July 9) Activision Blizzard reported selected preliminary financial results based on the stand-alone performance of Activision in the first quarter of its fiscal year ended June 30, 2009.
For the quarter, Activision reported that it expects revenues of around $650 million, a larger revenue number than Activision has ever reported for a non-holiday quarter. The figure was driven by sales of the Kung Fu Panda game and the games Guitar Hero: On Tour and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
