Activision BlizzardActivision Blizzard (merged on July 9) officially reported the stand-alone results for Activision for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2008. The numbers were in line with the company's preliminary findings.
For the quarter, Activision reported net income of $59.015 million, compared to $27.826 million in the same quarter the previous year. This was on net revenues of $654.2 million, a record for Activision in a non-holiday quarter.

As Activision Blizzard previously reported, those sales were driven by sales of the Kung Fu Panda game and the games Guitar Hero: On Tour and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.

By revenues, 60% of Activision's stand-alone revenues came from North America, with the remainder coming from international business. By platform, 22% of publishing income came from Wii titles, another 22% came from Xbox 360 titles, 19% came from PlayStation 2 titles and 16% came from DS game sales (with other platforms making up the remainder of publishing revenues.)
